I have been working out again for about 9 weeks. I work out monday-thursday morning at about 9am usually do a 30 minute weight workout and then run on the treadmill for 45 minutes 3-4 miles. I am not a big fat guy or anything I'm like 5-11 170lbs, but I seem to be sweating more than anybody in the freaking gym???? That is really not what bothers me though. When I get home and shower, after I get out of the shower its almost like I sweat as much as I was when i was running. What can I do to stop or slow this down. I think I may be melting.

Spicy foods will cause your metabolism to increase. Cut down on caffeine.

My friend has a problem with excessive sweating--he took some sort of medication for awhile but ended up getting botox injections in his pits. He still sweats like a pig everywhere else, but his armpits aren't always soaked so I guess that's some improvement. If you have a serious problem with excess sweating you should probably see the doctor about it.

Are you cooling down properly after your workout? I sweat a lot when I workout, too, and if you jump right in the shower after a workout your heart rate and metabolism are still high. This would cause your sweating.

Take the time to cool down and get your heart rate back down. This has worked for me.

Then I'm a healthy Mo Fo. Actually thanks for all the suggestions guys but what my problem was , was failing to cool down before showering. A couple of you actually said this as well. I was coming straight from the tread mill to a fairly hot shower and when i got out getting dressed pretty quickly and getting back out to work. I was sweating more after the shower than i was on the tread mill. Now I'll come in and do about 30 minutes of work at the computer before showering and the problem is virtually gone. Not that anybody gives a rip, but I do appreciate the comments.
